How to play Brain Challenge
Brain Challenge has 1000 levels. Each level is one puzzle with four answers — you either tap the correct cell or pick the correct option. That's the whole loop.
The basics
- Tap to answer. Grid levels are answered by tapping a cell; multiple-choice levels by tapping an option (or pressing 1–4).
- Correct answer reveals the explanation and shows a “Next level” button. Your progress advances automatically.
- Wrong answer shows the explanation and a “Try again” button. The level stays the same, so you can retry immediately.
- Timer. Levels 1–100 give 30 seconds, 101–300 give 25, 301–600 give 20, and 601–1000 give 15. Running out of time counts as a wrong answer.
- Streak. Consecutive correct answers build a streak; a wrong answer resets it. Your best streak is remembered.
Hints
Press Need a hint? once per level. For grid levels it tells you which row the answer is in; for multiple-choice levels it crosses out two wrong options. A level's hint can only be used once, and it does not count against your streak.
Progress and jumping
Your current level, solved count and best streak are stored in your browser (localStorage). The URL also carries the level number, so ?level=601 opens level 601 directly — handy for sharing a hard puzzle or skipping ahead.
Use the “Jump to level” box under the pager to go anywhere between 1 and 1000.
Difficulty curve
- 1–100: 3×3 grids, 6-character strings, simple arithmetic sequences, two-person logic.
- 101–300: 4×4 grids, 9-character strings, Fibonacci, three-person logic.
- 301–600: 5×5 grids, 12-character strings, growing gaps, ×2+1 chains, four-person queues.
- 601–1000: 6×6 grids, 15-character strings, squares and geometric rules, multi-premise deduction.
Tips
- For odd-one-out, scan in a fixed pattern (left to right, row by row). Random scanning is slower.
- For sequences, write the differences between terms — most rules become obvious once you see the gaps.
- For logic, sketch the ordering as arrows (
A > B > C) instead of re-reading the sentence.
